What we do

We reduce wait times for patients that arrive with non-life-threatening injuries and further prevent these from escalating into more serious conditions. Patients that may be deemed and triaged as low priority in the Hospital Emergency Departments are often subject to extended wait times, wasting valuable time in a busy status quo. We understand this and collaborate with nearby Emergency Departments to divert and recommend patients to SWIFT where prompt and apt care is provided.

SWIFT Assessment and Treatment

As soon as the patient walks in and registers in the clinic, they will be assessed by a triage nurse and given the appropriate triage category based on the Australian Triage Scale (ATS). From here, they will be assessed by a doctor trained in Emergency Medicine and treated promptly and appropriately.

Emergency and Urgent Care

We aim to minimise wait times to ensure a comfortable, effective and swift experience, assess the condition of patients, and diagnose them promptly in order for treatment, discharge or transfer to occur. Our model is shown to improve patient satisfaction and experience, ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.

In case of severe conditions, our doctors and nurses specialising in Emergency Medicine will immediately begin treatment and facilitate transfer to surrounding hospitals and their corresponding emergency departments.

Specialty Orthopaedics

Highly seasoned Orthopaedic Surgeons accompany and take care of cases throughout their time at SWIFT. Our team members have extensive experience and admission rights at nearby private hospitals. In the event that a case requires operative care, our in-house Orthopaedic Surgeons will provide a seamless transition for surgery at hospitals and operating theatres.

Paediatrics

We care about the community’s future stars. We provide comprehensive and intensive care, covering all bases and providing the highest standard of care to all our patients. Our Paediatric team runs regular clinics where we can book our patients in, so parents may be reassured that their kids are in safe hands.

Cardiology

At SWIFT, we redefine the management of low-risk chest pain. Once the patient is deemed safe at urgent care, our “Acute Cardiology Clinic” will provide urgent review by specialist cardiologist, exercise stress test and echocardiogram. If needed a seamless transfer and continuity of care at nearby hospital for admission and further interventions.

Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy team will provide allied services complimenting SWIFT in managing and following up all musculoskeletal cases, along with providing continual support to our Orthopaedic team.

Interventional Radiology

Any back, shoulder or joint-related pain can be tended to quickly and easily thanks to an incorporated radiology clinic with seasoned radiologists available at a moment’s notice.

Imaging

Onsite X-ray, Ultrasound scans, CT scans & MRI services mean that our expert Emergency Physicians can deliver the best medical care in the country with the right tools for every case. Our Radiology team also supports with outpatient referrals and procedures.

Pathology

An in-house laboratory means fast results, and can often be the difference between a successful and a complicated visit. This gives rapid access to detailed results that allow us to provide the best quality of care to our patients and ensure that their stay is marked by comfort and quality.

Sports Injuries

Sports injury clinic is run weekly on Saturdays 10-1pm. This caters to young and growing families in the area raising young sportsmen and sportswomen, and may sustain injuries like sprains, strains, lacerations, concussions, fractures and otherwise. This eliminates the need for a long wait at the hospital and leads to a faster recovery, meaning a faster progression back to activity and daily life.

Infusion Clinic

Iron infusions that previously elicited several hours of waiting time in emergency departments nationwide can now be attended to in under an hour in our specialised infusion clinic.

Our services

Swift Emergency & Urgent Care bridges emergency departments and GPs where no appointments are necessary, and patients can walk in any time during operating hours. We aim to reduce Emergency Department waiting times and ambulance ramping, a major nationwide concern.
